1) FACT: Hagar is Milkman's second cousin.
2) Hagar's lineage shapes her character.
3) Peeing constantly shows up physically and symbolically as a sign of being degraded, Milkman's symbolic peeing on Hagar's emotions sends her into insanity.
4) "'A good-looking woman, [Sing Dead,] but fierce, for the young woman I knew her as. Crazy about her husband too, overcrazy. You know what I mean? Some women love too hard. She watched over him like a pheasant hen. Nervous. Nervous love.'"(Morrison, 243)
5) Hagar's love made her try to kill Milkman repeatedly just so she could be near him, which to most people is crazy, while Sing Dead, her great-grandmother, was described by Circe as being 'overcrazy' about her husband.
6) I think that she is a very intriguing character; the fact that she went insane gives me pity for her and a dislike for Milkman.

Lovin'
I don't know what to write about love. I am in love, but that doesn't mean I have any idea how to describe it. It is a collection of contradictions, but most of all it is wonderful.
